clwb cymru
Built to empower you, our football family to develop, grow and sustain.
We have used insight shared directly by you, to help determine which topics will be most useful. The first three topics that are available, have been taken directly from the ambitions, which you shared within the club accreditation application.
Collectively, you stated that attracting and retaining volunteers, facility management and development along with engaging better with the local community, were your top off field club development aspirations.
The platform has been designed with you, our volunteers at the heart of its development. We want to provide you with the best digital experience, that has easy search functionality and navigation, stimulating content for volunteers of all ages and downloadable materials to encourage everyone at your club to get involved and play their part.
Clwb Cymru is an ever-evolving platform and will itself continue to grow and develop over many seasons. New topics and information will be phased in to ensure we continue to support your club and our game.
why clwb cymru?
We want our platform to sit at the heart of club development and be your first point of call when looking for support on how to grow and develop the club. When you review the resources and guides that have been produced, we want the information to not only support you but we want it to excite you too! Excite you to continue to thrive and develop your club, in the best way for you, the local community and our game.
By developing Clwb Cymru as a digital platform, it can allow you to access information at your fingertips and save you that much needed time. Having the ability to host all the resources and information in one single place, will not only make it easier to find what you need, but you can also discover new areas of club development that you may not even have been aware of.
The resources and information have been designed specifically to help you think about the club in a variety of ways. These have been created in partnership with a number of different individuals including club volunteers, external partners who are experts in their fields as well as with different departments across The FAW Trust / The FAW.
Over time the platform will enable you to connect digitally with other volunteers and clubs within the football family, allow us all to grow and develop together, helping our national game strive!
what’s to come?
We understand that Clwb Cymru will be new to everyone, so it is important that we take the time to guide you through the platform and show you what it has to offer. Building in this support is important and guiding all our volunteers, in small bite-size chunks, to help build confidence in using the system and maximising your enjoyment is key.
By the end of 2021 – 22 season, we aim to have two new topics readily available with the first being marketing and communications. This topic will explore the different ways you can market your club to existing and new audiences. It will provide guidance on how you can stay engaged and connected with your local community but also help you to showcase who you are and more importantly what the club does. As well as take a deep dive into the ever-evolving communication methods and provide you with tips on how best to utilise the social media platforms available.
Our second topic will look into the importance of implementing good governance along with the right legal structures and processes. As well as the benefits it can bring to your club, your members and the wider community, together with how it can play its role in helping our clubs strive towards achieving their goals and longer-term ambitions.
